Keely’s partner, Patrick, proposed with a ring he’d ordered online from America. He knew she loved green so he picked a big green Sapphire. Keely loved the Sapphire – just not the design. It was a bit ‘too much’, she was a fan of simple. Given this is a ring she is going to wear for the rest of her life, she wanted to love it. So she made the decision to use the stone, and have it remodelled.
Keely found Hart & Halo and engaged us to help. Keely had done her research and had an idea for what she was after, and one thing we’ve learnt about Keely is she knows what she wants! She came to us with a Toi et Moi idea – adding a pear-shaped Diamond to her oval Sapphire. And right down to the particular shape and proportions of that pear, the angle it was tucked into her Sapphire, and the look of the prongs, Keely directed every detail of her design.
The other consideration we were working with was that Keely is a pilot and her hands need to navigate narrow spaces which could mean the ring gets knocked around a bit, especially if it was too high. We modelled multiple options for her on how we could set the two stones, as well as with multiple wedding ring options, and definitely made it a tough decision for her! (#sorrynotsorry)
The result speaks for itself. An absolute statement piece, with beauty in its simplicity. A practical ring, easy to wear, but without compromising on anything. Utter perfection.
Keely thoroughly enjoyed the process and is rapped with the result. Although it was a brave decision to remodel – absolutely no regrets. This is love.
