Engagement / Wedding Story – Kristen & Marc

Engagement / wedding

"Oh wow, I love it! It’s better than I even imagined!"

7 years into their relationship Kristen and now-hubby had a chat about whether they would ever get married.  Kristen wasn’t too bothered (they had had 2 kids by this point) but didn’t want to spend her life wondering so wanted to know either way how Marc felt about it.  At the time they agreed they wouldn’t bother getting married, but 2 months later Marc surprised her by popping the question!  The ring was nothing big or fancy, but Kristen was happy and had never been material in that sense anyway.

Recently Kristen and Marc were at their friends engagement party where everyone was ogling over the ring.  Marc asked Kristen to show everyone hers, more just as a wow, look at the comparison, but it did get Marc wondering again whether Kristen really was happy with her ring.  Kristen replied that yeh, she didn’t care but could perhaps one day look at getting it reset.  That seed was planted and not too much later she came across Hart & Halo!  Kristen really identified with the essence of Hart & Halo and felt a coloured sapphire cluster ring would be a lovely treat.  Moreover, after contacting Hart & Halo and having a chat about her story and what she was after, she really liked the idea that the cluster could represent her now finished family.

The ring: Kristen picked her favourite coloured sapphire for the centre stone – a gorgeous warm and vivacious padparadscha.  She’d always liked corally colours, in fact this had been their wedding colour.  Kristen was after an assymetrical design and liked the idea of having her centre stone tilted which gave off a real playful vibe.  The cluster came next. Kristen carefully handselected 4 sapphires to represent each of her children, these plus her original engagement diamond (which represented her husband) and a smaller wee diamond (their dog) were carefully placed around the centre stone to achieve balance and the desired aesthetic.
