Engagement / Wedding Story – Angela & Sharn

Angela and Sharn have been married for 20+ years.  She loved the sentimentality of her wedding stack, and components of her rings (eg. she still loved the Princess cut), but for the most part the design just wasn’t her anymore.  Angela loved COLOUR!  Bright, happy colours.  So her rings lacked this ‘spark’ and didn’t represent who she was.  She felt it was time to turn her wedding stack into something a little more her.

Angela visited us to have a play with our vast selection of beautiful, colourful Sapphires.  Her favourite colours being bright pink and teal, it didn’t take long for her to find just the right hues within our collection.  We had a bright pink princess cut lot, that she immediately reserved.  Her heart bouncing with ideas for how to use them.  And then her eyes spied a gorgeous teal pear.  Love at first sight. 

With these Sapphires, we worked on possible options for re-creating her engagement and wedding ring set, using also what we could with her current rings.  The teal pear was the perfect size for a Toi et Moi with her current Princess cut Diamond, and she wanted her Diamonds down the sides.  Her current rings were channel set, but this time she wanted something not so stocky, so we went with a more delicate scalloped pavé to minimise the metal and maximise the Diamonds.  With those gorgeous bright pink Sapphires, Angela was keen to create a matching bright pink pavé band as her new wedding ring!  Because why the hell not?! 

These new rings combine the old and the new, the sentimental and the here and now.  Full of life and personality they now hold that spark that makes them so loved and brings Angela joy, every single day.
