Engagement / Wedding Story – Bree & Phil

Bree and Phil’s story began as a set-up by friends.  Bree had been out of the dating game for a long time and was very unsure and nervous, but Phil hit all the right notes from the start – instead of taking her out for dinner on their first date, he thought it would be easier on her if he prepared a homemade meal in a more comfortable atmosphere.  He was right. 

Fast forward a couple of years and that considered, thoughtful approach still very much rings true.  He upheld tradition where it worked (by asking her parents for their blessing) but threw it to the wind where it didn’t.  He knew Bree would be one very “fussy” (her words) customer, so felt it would be best she was heavily involved, aka chose her own ring.  She’d already told him she didn’t want a cookie-cutter off the shelf type ring, and wanted something different and unique.  Bree herself wasn’t sure what this was yet, but after looking through Pinterest and the likes, she found an image that made her heart sing.  It was the one.

Bree started with another company and after several months of searching, they had not found the Sapphire she was looking for.  Algorithm’s obviously worked their magic and Hart & Halo started popping up in front of her.  After reading through some testimonials on a Facebook group, she took the plunge and contacted us.  Within weeks we had scoured our sources across the world and managed to find her several stones that were getting closer to her needle (in the haystack).  And then, it happened, we found it.

Bree’s precise taste and meticulous attention to detail didn’t stop with the stone – angles, shapes, fractions of millimeters, were all poured over during the design process, until we got everything just right.  Of course, jewellery creation is an art form and designing it on a computer is one thing, but then hand finishing it to these specifications is quite another.  Our bench jeweller was tasked with the list and under watchful supervision, and subsequent inspection and quality control, he nailed it. 

We are so happy to have been able to turn Bree’s dream into her reality.  An epic journey but what a vision!  Massive congrats to Bree & Phil!
