Danielle and David got married many moons ago and as you do, purchased a beautiful ring that worked at the time. It was a 5 stone ring that doubled both as the engagement and wedding ring. The setting was very unique – each of the 5 stones wedged into the metal (tension set) so that there was no visual obstruction from the side view. It featured 3 gorgeous Royal Blue Sapphires, 2 Diamonds, and Danielle loved it.
Although beautiful, the problem was this design was not so practical. Danielle lost a stone, had it repaired, then another stone fell out – this time for good. One of the Blue Sapphires was lost. Yes, she could have replaced it, repaired and carry on, but Danielle realised this was likely not the last time she would be dealing with these issues.
Instead Danielle decided to reinvent her engagement ring. Time for a Glow Up! After a bit of trial and error, Danielle chose a gorgeous fat marquise to be the new centrepiece of her ring. She wanted to set one each of the Sapphire and Diamond left in her original engagement ring on either side. This time Danielle opted for a more practical (and just as pretty!) floral inspired setting. The centrestone had extra petal-like detail underneath, and the 4 side stones were set with shared prongs that swept underneath giving them the look of outer petals attached to the central bloom.
A gorgeous design for a very lovely lady! Crafted this time in strong and durable Platinum, this one will be forever xx
