Engagement / Wedding Story – Henry & Genavee

Henry and Genavee had been together 9 years.  They had a family trip planned to NY and Henry felt the time was right to propose.  He felt like she “wasn’t a Diamond person” so decided a beautiful green Sapphire would be “more her”.  As well he wanted to include his grandmother’s ring he had recently inherited.  Genavee and his grandmother had gotten on really well, and it was so special to be able to include this sentimental gold in their ring.

We secretly planned a rendevous to meet up and talk Engagement Rings.  Henry was drawn to a large 2.02ct Green Sapphire we’d recently acquired from Madagascar.  It had the lighter green glow he was after.  Henry had done his research and also had a shortlist of designs he preferred which we were able to model for him with his chosen Sapphire.  Once he’d picked ‘the one’, it was then on to CAD design where we worked with Henry to perfect the sizes of the side Diamonds, and details of the setting.  It was great to be able to use CAD to model different options here – Henry could see prongs vs half bezel, and open vs closed sides… much easier to be able to make a decision when you can see an actual picture!

This ring was designed with love and attention to detail.  It represents a union of two souls who choose each other, and it carry’s the sentiment of their loved ones and history.
