Engagement / Wedding Story – Niamh & Scott

Niamh and Scott met several years ago, introduced via a mutual friend.  He a Kiwi, she an Irish lass.  A couple of years ago they decided it was time to put down roots so managed to buy a house together.  This prompted Scott to start considering the next step for them, and when he’d made up his mind to propose he also made up his mind to give Niamh the opportunity to design her own ring.  For the proposal he wanted a stand-in ring so headed down to The Warehouse and found a 5-pack of rings for $3 that, bonus!, was on clearance as a 4-pack LOL

Of course it was a ‘Yes!’ and Niamh was so excited to be able to design her dream ring!  She started looking at designs she liked and was drawn to 3-stone designs.  However during their research they discovered Green Sapphire and felt that would be a perfect way to honour her Irish roots – green being the colour for her home country, nicknamed ‘the Emerald Isle’, of course! 

Niamh booked an appointment to visit us.  She brought her future MIL along and together we went through the collection.  On eyeing this long, elegant Pear Sapphire, although it wasn’t a shape she had really considered before, the colour won her over.  It was exactly what she was after – a beautiful deep green Sapphire.

From there it came together rather quickly and organically as we played around with designs.  Niamh knew her mind and what she liked and it was a Toi et Moi design (“you and me”), pairing her Sapphire with a beautiful oval Diamond that won her heart.  Set on a slightly chunkier band, as is her style, this gorgeous elegant piece beautifully honours her Irish roots. 

I couldn’t think of a better way to symbolise these two beautiful people and am so deeply honoured to be a part of their story.
