Engagement / Wedding Story – Sam & Sarah

Sarah and Sam have been together 10 years. High school sweethearts if you will.  Both hailing from Sydney, Sam felt there were a few life experiences that needed to be ‘ticked off’ before it was time to pop that question.  Overseas travel, living together…they’ve been in NZ 3 years now and with Sarah’s job wrapping up, it was about time to return home.  Before they do though, Sam felt the time was now right. 

Sam wanted an Australian Sapphire because ya know, they’re Australian.  He wanted majority blue but with flashes of green to add that depth of beauty to it.  He liked Emerald cut and had a design in mind so it was just a case of finding that stone.  He was also working to a bit of a deadline because they had their outwards flights booked, so we took to scouring our sources quickly to find just what he was looking for.

And we did.  We presented Sam with a number of options, many that took his fancy, but it was this clean bright parti Sapphire that captured his attention.  It was half blue, and half green, the colours cut through the middle like two stones melted into one!  A very cool and unique Sapphire with flashes so bright it will be a true stunner on Sarah’s hand. 

Next came the CAD process, and with Sam working with CAD programmes himself as an Engineer, it felt like familiar territory.  We breezed through the design process and in a matter of weeks later he had his Australian Sapphire, tied together with NZ gold, ready for his soon-to-be-fiancé!

We were so happy we could tie the countries together for you Sam, in a permanent and meaningful way that represents the start of the rest of your lives.  Huge congratulations!!
