Engagement / Wedding Story – Tayla and Stefan

Tayla and Stefan met during Covid while working at the isolation hotels, a couple of months later they matched on Tinder!  (Some things are just meant to be hey?!)  Only 2 months in though Stefan was deployed to Canada indefinitely, so the ‘honeymoon stage’ was spent long distance and as it was still the height of Covid, no visits were allowed.  9 months later Stefan had enough and moved back to NZ to be with Tayla (yay!)  As their relationship progressed, they decided to first focus on their careers before turning their attention to massive adulting moves – house and engagement!

Tayla started exploring options in different stores. She managed to narrow it down to an oval Diamond solitaire (with very precise proportions I might add!) and had several quotes from different places.  She mentioned her journey so far to our shared Nail tech, who immediately referred her to Hart & Halo!

Tayla was able to come and meet us for an in person consult which she later described as “informative and fun!”  Once she learned that she could create her very own ring, with every detail as she wanted it, while also supporting a local NZ business, it was an easy decision for her!

So Tayla and I did go through all those wee details.  Widths, thickness, prong shape, amount of space underneath the Diamond…  Some people don’t want to do every detail and prefer we do those bits.  Tayla loved it.  We made the spec list for her perfect ring so that when Stefan was ready he would have everything he needed.

And when that time came, he did!  Stefan was able to trust that we had it in hand.  He threw in a wee detail that Tayla hadn’t considered before, a hidden halo!, and of course he was in charge of the timeline. Gotta say though, Stefan isn’t the best at keeping secrets from his forever love, she is also very good at figuring them out haha, so likely she knew more than she should have but hey, each to their own. This couple get each other, they know how the other ticks, and they love it.  So do we. Congrats you two – so very happy for you!!
