The meaning behind this design

Design: 3 stone

The Stones: Initially our client wanted a cluster of birthstones, however on learning of the downsides of softer more permeable stones, felt that instead having Sapphires to represent their birthstones would be the better option to allow her to cherish this heirloom on the daily.

The Detail: Her birthstone is Citrine (so we used yellow Sapphire), one of her son’s birthstones was Sapphire (traditional blue) and the other Emerald (we used green Sapphire). The boys stones we picked for more or less equal size, similar transparency, and nestled them in lovingly against mumma. We then used a tapered band to tie them all together solidly, but still allowing a delicate feel to the design.

Design: 5 stone

The Stone: Easily chosen. This Sapphire was an intake of breath when our client set eyes on it. Love at first sight.

The Detail: She appreciates clean geometric lines and plenty of sparkle. We ensured that the lines of her chosen Sapphire flowed flawlessly through to her side Diamonds to create a stunning bold design of ultimate sparkle and ode to colour.

The Stone: This stunning peach Sapphire really caught Connie’s eye and quite simply she thought “why not”! She’s at that part in life when pauses aren’t meant to be taken, holding back isn’t a thing…quite the opposite – you do what makes you happy.

The Detail: Connie wanted her chosen Sapphire to be the star of the show, but appreciated a couple of small Diamonds can lift and applaude the Sapphire even more. Given the shape of the Sapphire, Connie toyed with the idea of trillion (triangle) shaped Diamonds however felt she would prefer a more traditional look by using round Diamonds. Connie wanted a decent width band and to be all set in warming 18k Yellow Gold.
