A halo design will have a row of usually smaller stones encircling the larger centre stone. Often it is a pavé style (very small diamonds set in a row) however it can be a half-halo which only borders one side, or a tiara, which is stones bordering just the top side – much like a crown.

A halo will emphasize the shape and often increase the perception of the size of the central stone. We love a diamond halo around a gorgeous central Sapphire, it really makes the colour pop! You can carry that halo on through the pavé band to create ultimate bling fest. We are also very partial to an ombré halo of colour. This can bring out the subtle colours of the central stone and creates a real unique piece of art!
