Just Cause – Agota

A big fan of fine jewellery, Agota has a collection of pieces that she has commissioned to life over the years.  With a very creative imagination and desire for ‘different’ pieces, in the past Agota has come up with the idea and then commissioned a jewellery artist to create it for her.  This time was different.  She spied our Design Inspo of a beautiful Champagne Sapphire surrounded by a halo of Diamonds and Sapphires in different shapes.  There was an instant pull, and Agota, not normally impulsive, fell in love with the idea.

During the CAD design process our original idea was stretched by Agota’s creative mind and inclination to push the boundaries.  She challenged us to go beyond the norm and not be limited by what has been done before.  Agota loved the space between the stones that existed in the original design, so we were challenged to not only retain but emphasize that space in the finished piece.  We came up with an idea of spokes – each stone on their own long golden tendril.  We went one step further and angled those spokes on different planes, up and down, so the effect was like the Champagne Sapphire was at the centre of a solar system of stars orbiting around her.

Agota is thrilled with the final piece, as are we!  When creativity and fearlessness combine, the result is electric.
