Just Cause – Margaret

Margaret was our Mother’s Day 2024 winner so won herself a $1,000 voucher toward whatever her heart desired.  She was so thrilled as she had never won anything before, and felt it was the perfect excuse to treat herself because, why not?!

Margaret enjoyed different, and in particular bi-coloured Sapphires where you could see more than one colour in the stone.  They are so incredibly unique and full of wonder – a real mark of nature.  She fell in love with a stunning bright blue oval Sapphire that had a shot of yellow through it.  Such a bright, happy piece!  Once settled on the stone, we then played with design, trialling side stones to create a full aesthetic.  Margaret leaned toward Diamond as it really made the colour of her Sapphire pop.  We had a couple of large trapezoids in stock that fit wonderfully with her Sapphire, and to this Margaret wanted a bit more elongation so we trialled some lovely elegant tapered baguettes.  The combination of the brilliant cut Trapezoids and the step cut Baguettes really added to the interest of the overall design, and Margaret was sold!

We set this piece using 18k Yellow Gold for the central stone to really enhance that shot of yellow, and Platinum for the Diamonds and wrap around band.  Margaret’s ring is elegant, unique and has that shot of different she was after.  A beautiful piece that she will get to treasure daily, and no doubt will get a lot of blingin’ notice!
