Description
This Sapphire brings together two beautifully contrasting colours in one seriously cool stone. Soft cornflower blue gathers through the ends, while a warm wash of pale golden yellow glows through the centre. The transition feels almost architectural, as though light has been captured in separate panes of colour. Fresh, graphic and quietly unusual, she has plenty of personality without needing to shout about it.
Its elongated octagonal shape gives it a crisp, contemporary presence, with clean corners and long step-cut facets that draw the eye straight through the stone. It would make an incredible centre stone for a modern engagement ring or a sculptural piece designed to let the Sapphire do most of the talking.
