This Sapphire is a real WOW – three separate colour zones! This big beautiful Pear features green + blue + yellow in roughly equal thirds along her length. How cool that Mother Nature can do that! And indeed only Mother Nature can do that. Labs certainly can’t 😉
We’ll just take a mo. to explain the nomenclature here as it can be a bit confusing…many terms can be used interchangeably!
Parti generally refers to Sapphires with distinct colour zones, and
Bi-Colour refers to multiple colours in the stone.
Yes, same sort of thing. You’ll note the certificate refers to this Sapphire as a “Bi-colour” but we have chosen to refer to it as Parti (short for ‘Partition’) because those colour zones are very distinct.
