Description
This 1.12ct teal blue Sapphire has the kind of colour that refuses to sit neatly in one category. In some light it leans deep ocean blue, in others it pulls greener, with flashes of vivid teal cutting through the darker body colour. It is rich, moody and surprisingly lively, like a midnight pool with the lights turned on. Very polished, but with a slightly mischievous streak.
Its elongated octagonal rectangle shape gives it a strong, architectural look, with crisp clipped corners and broad step-cut facets that showcase the colour beautifully. On the hand, the proportions feel elegant and balanced, while still giving the stone plenty of presence. This would make a striking centre stone for a bespoke teal Sapphire engagement ring, particularly in platinum or white gold for a cool tonal finish, or yellow gold for a bolder contrast.
