Remembrance – Karen

Karen inherited her Grandma’s ring that she got in Spain circa 1970-80.  It was a HUGE flamboyant floral design in a very high setting – the Sapphires were set in levels that sat up to a couple of cm off the finger.  This made it very hard to wear unfortunately as it stuck out so much and twisted on the finger a lot.  More a ‘garden party’ sort of design – not for everyday wear.

Karen came to us thinking she’d love to do something with it, to create a more practical piece with the special stones which carry the sentiment from her Grandmother but could be worn daily.

After a bit of playing with different designs, this one stuck.  An exquisite cluster of her Grandma’s deep blue Sapphires, arranged in a floral-inspired silhouette. Each natural stone catches light in its own unique way, creating layers of velvety midnight and ocean tones. With an added milgrain bezel detail around the edge, and set in polished white Platinum, this ring strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern sophistication – a statement of timeless elegance.  Proof that you don’t need a centre stone to steal the show.
