Special Birthday – Candace

Candace was approaching a milestone birthday and wanted to treat herself to something special.  Her birthstone being Sapphire, which comes in every colour, meant she could choose the perfect shade for her.  And as a great portion of the world’s Sapphires come from Africa, which she does too, Candace felt a beautiful Madagascan Sapphire would be the perfect fit.

She decided she was ideally after a blush pink Sapphire, a gentle hue.  She wanted this ring to blend into her daily wear, rather than stand out too much.  We had this beautiful Sapphire in stock, and when she saw it in person it confirmed it was her rock! exactly what she had been looking for and even better than she had expected from pictures online.  (We always say if you like what you see in photos, you’ll LOVE what you see in person – natural Sapphires carry a spark that camera’s just can’t capture).

When it came to the design, Candace ideally wanted it set with prongs only, no bar – we are all about giving you what you want, so we worked on a design that is robust and strong, to hold her Sapphire in place through those knocks and bumps of everyday wear.  We also crafted beautiful square shaped claw prongs to protect the corners of the stone, and we tapered the band ever so slightly into the Sapphire to emphasize her spotlight.

Candace is thrilled with her birthday present! A simple solitaire, with attention to every detail that gives her that wow.  So very unique, so very special, and so very Candace.
