In Ireland, the celtic Claddagh ring gives subtle status hints depending on how you wear it. If worn on the right hand with the apex pointing away from you, it signals you are single. On the right hand pointing toward you suggests you are in a relationship. If worn on the left hand with the appex pointing away from you it signals you are engaged, you turn it over to point toward you when married.
